Rooster question

So many things can affect temperament of cockerels and roosters. Breed, handling, hormones, number of hens, etc.

Some breeds, such as Rhode Island Reds and Wyandottes, tend to develop attitude as they enter the hormonal stage. Nothing you can do to improve temperament when the breed tends toward combative roosters.

Just enjoy your baby cockerel now, and hope he doesn't go through any drastic personality changes when he starts to get his hormones. If he does, there are ways to discipline him so he at least behaves like a gentleman.
