Rooster quit crowing after predator

My rooster had an attack and lost his tail feathers. He quit crowing after the attack and hasn’t crowed since. This happened maybe 8 weeks ago and all his feathers have grown back in. They aren’t grown out all the way but close. Will he crow again?

Maybe his confidence got booted. I had one of my roosters get attacked by another rooster and he didn’t crow for a long time. It was only after he’d recovered and regained some self esteem that he started crowing again.
