Rooster showed up with wild turkey hen flock, now what do I do?

After spending the night with the ladies in the coop, he was very reluctant to join them in the run. When he finally did, they stayed away from him. There is more clutter in there and I've made use of the vertical space with roosts and a swing - thank you, Mrs. K!

Our head hen came from the rear to get nearer to him. He watched her cautiously, but she didn't seem overly interested but when she got closer and made eye contact, he quickly beat a retreat to his dog crate. He's now in the crate, in the coop and they are all doing their chicken thing. Thanks for the advice and encouragement.

update: So Ody has been spending his days in the dog crate in the run and nights in the coop. Gypsy (low gal in pecking order) is merciless when given a chance to peck him. Something must have happened over the past couple nights because yesterday Marigold (head hen) ignored him and let him snack unmolested in the run. Last night Ody put himself to bed in the coop. Today he's outside of the run and so far unmolested.

so this is bizarre. tonight i went out and he didn't go into the coop - he was roosting on top of his crate as far away from the coop as he could get. He wasn't happy when I picked him up and put him in the coop. I checked 30 minutes later and he was sitting on the floor in the same spot, while the girls were on the roost. What's going on here?

Update on Odysseus. He's fully integrated with the flock and seems to be thriving. Thank you for all your help and suggestions. The better use of vertical space really made all the difference, Mrs. K., you were right on the money! Thanks again!
