Johnny our rooster was fine on Tuesday night 11/28
but on Wednesday morning he was not out in the run like usual waiting to get the fermented feed that he loves to eat for breakfast he didn't even come out when I fed the hens so opened up the coop and he did come out and ate just a little bit
That night he didn't come and get me as usual to get put away for the night
He was in the lean to where the chickens like to hang out and didn't respond to being called
he was disoriented and I had to walk him to the coop along the way he walked right into a roll of chicken wire that was leaning against the Peacock coop then went into the coop and not the run where the hens were eating the fermented feed they get for dinner
he kind of walked into the wall in the corner and just sat down there (seemed like he was not seeing properly) I got him a little fermented feed and put it in the feeder in the coop and put it right next to him and he showed no interest in it

One possible cause could be that I have not washed the waterier in the coop for a while
but the 6 hens and 2 guineas are acting normal only problem so far is with the rooster
We got him about 7-8 months ago he was close to full grown so should be between 1-2 years old
bought a new waterier and some electrolytes last night witch are in the run now

We mixed a tablespoon of feed supplement with water and force fed it to him with a syringe before the sun cane up he was week and lethargic and did not want to eat
I tried to massage his crop it seemed normal but I am new to farm life and don't know how it is supposed to feel

his poop is green and watery I didn't get a picture but kinda looks like this

Couldn't see any evidence of mites or lice
He was wormed with safeguard 2 months ago
No noticeable discharge from nostrils or eyes
Come went from nice red standing straight up to pink and droopy in less than a day

Reading through other threads I saw that it is supposed to be safe to treat with corid powder
so am thinking I should force feed him some just in case

Johnny is very friendly and quite a caricature he is more a beloved pet than just a chicken
Any help is greatly appreciated

It's probably not coccidiosus, since that creeps up slowly and affects younger chickens usually. I think he may be very sick. The green poop is worrying. I hope someone else out there has a better idea but my guess is Mareks or some other disease.

Sounds like you feed them well. You've done what most anyone would have suggested I imagine, isolating him, giving him electrolytes and tube feeding.

Is it possible he may have eaten something poisonous?
(Also don't feed Corid powder directly, it needs to be mixed with water and you must remove supplemental vitamin B until course is complete)

If he is 1-2 years old ..
Then I think for fowl cholera but as u said for no discharge from nose no swelling on wattles ..I guess for bacterial ingestion
Because cholera make the poop green but also bacterial infection cause green runny sticky type poo ..
..I just read yesterday that after crossing 6 months without any new bird contact ..then after chicken rarely got Marek's cause they built a immunity ..

Give him some fresh garlic in water and see miracle

Keep him warm and stress free

That was one of my first suspicions because of how fast he got so sick
but don't know what he may have got in to

my guess is Mareks or some other disease.
Just started reading about it last night really wish I could rule that out but it does seen like it could be it

Give him some fresh garlic in water and see miracle
Out of fresh garlic and had to get towed home from tractor supply last night so will have to have the wife pick some up after work
How do you mix the garlic / water?

I am so sorry to hear your bird is not well! :(
There are many possible causes for his symptoms, but it would be best if you post some pictures of him. Also, if you can upload a video onto youtube then post it here, it would really help us to see. Otherwise, you will get a lot of speculation. The poop is telling - and often that bright green color is associated with Marek's, but you could also be dealing with botulism. See if you can get some pics going..

I grate some 2-3 clove of or simply chop it fine mix it in a fresh water leave it for 5-10 minutes so garlic acillin can realese then if chicken is able to drink okay otherwisw by a dropper give it to bird ..

Garlic Is A Natural Antibiotic & Antibacterial Properties ..
When freshly chopped it release a antibiotic called acillin which helps to kill the killer bacteria or fungi , on the other hand garlic is a natural immune booster gives ur bird a strong immune system when give it regularly in moderation , helps bird gut to save from parasites , protect from lice and mites , gives glossy feathers and ur bird don't smell odd and fight with coccidiosis due to its high sulfer content

(pls note if u making garlic water use only plastic cup or a glass don't use metal or steel cups)

If it is a kind of toxin that he's ingested, then you have to get it out if him asap. Lots of folks use acitvated charcoal, which you can search for on this site to gain addt'l info.

I have a home remedy. I've given it to numerous people, some of whom used it & some didn't. It's always worked for me, but you MUST use Apple Cider Vinegar. No, you cannot use another kind & no, they are not all the same (other kinds are toxic.). WalM just started carrying Bragg's brand Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV), which is all I use. It's organic, unfiltered, un processed & has the most nutritious content.)

In a short juice glass, add:
1 teaspoon Baking Soda (yep, Arm&Hammer)
1 teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar
It's going to foam a lot & that's good, just wait until it settles & add
2 teaspoons tap water

Swirl the potion around to mix well, use a syringe (no needle, just the syringe) to get as much doesn't Mr Johnny's throat as possible. Get that baking soda mix off of the bottom of the glass & into the syringe, too. Get a good mix of both into him. Swirl that glass as often as you need to mix it up.

Do this 2-3 times today, spread out the treatments & offer regular dry food & plenty of fresh water to him as he's isolated. It'll be hard, but treat him & let him rest. Tomorrow, do it twice, day 3, do it twice... if he'll let you.

Throw out what you don't use after each treatment & always make a fresh batch each time. (No, you cannot save leftovers & re-use later.)

He's not going to like it & frankly I get it, it's awful. But if he's as sick as you say, & I believe that he is, he won't fight you too much. Until he starts to feel better, that is. Then he'll be all about letting you know that he's over it. You'll know when he's ok, he'll tell you if you can't see his progress. And that's good, that's what we want.

Regardless of what you do, (take my advice or not) please keep us posted. I will be thinking of him all day.
