I have a rooster that will squat when his favorite hens walk up, not always but it happens mostly in the evening's. Normal??

What is their age? Is gender confirmed/verified or only suspected?

It is not uncommon for roosters to take a certain stance and let his ladies groom him.

They look face to face first and then he lowers himself half squat. Head down and rump up until she turns away.

Age still young, a cockerel not rooster until over a year old according to spur growth.. the distinction being mostly important when discussing behavior or health. He's a handsome cross!

Hopefully it's a sign that he will be using good manners!

Well, that's different and still a setting of dominance, period.
