Making a post for someone else, this isn't my bird so this is all the info I have

1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.)
Bantam, 2 years old

2) What is the behavior, exactly.
Started walking on one leg but now can't walk at all

3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?
not sure

4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?
no

5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.
no

6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.
they just found him like that, his tail was wagging too

7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.
corn and mealworms, not much because he's been being hand fed because he can't walk

8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.
I wasn't told

9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?
he's already been to the vet and they were told to just hand feed him, so not very helpful

10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?
they want to know what's wrong with him and help him

12) Describe the housing/bedding in use
straw

This is likely an avian virus, either Marek's or lymphoid leucosis. But there's a chance it's a vitamin deficiency. Have the owner try him on B-complex and vitamin E given with egg. If there is no improvement in two weeks, it's then more likely a virus that's not treatable.

Awww he sure is a cutie. I have a chicken at home like that. She’s some how cant walk. Iv been taking care of her for a while she is putting her foot down now. If you hav a lot of chickens this should happen sometimes, i dont really know why it happens. The best thing you can do is put him in a cage and give him fresh food and water in a container he should get better in a few days.
