Is there a way you can gather him up, hold him and have someone take several photos of both legs and feet (including bottom of feet too) please?

I would keep soaking his feet as needed, treating his leg mites with vaseline, and resting his leg. The way he raises his leg up when he does take a step is kind of interesting. How old is he? He surely is Fancy isn’t he?
Yes I would think either or too. My husband has it in his knee sometime. The part where his leg meets his feathers looks swollen also.In people it can be one foot, both feet, or any joint in the body in addition. Would think in chickens it could be either/or
Hopefully whatever is wrong with Fancy he gets better!

This could be very well caused by his long spurs.Yes I would think either or too. My husband has it in his knee sometime. The part where his leg meets his feathers looks swollen also.
I would change it daily and keep him somewhere dry and clean until this hole is closed.how often I need to change his dressing!!

Three days ago I just cut the spurs of my senior La Flèche rooster because his overgrown spurs chafed against the joints of his legs with every step he took.
Since then he is back to his old self and walking normally again.
Yes he is up off the ground with some shaving that he loves. His pen gets cleaned out everyday. About how long for it to heal?I would change it daily and keep him somewhere dry and clean until this hole is closed.
We used a Dremel which worked really well. No blood at all.He actually broke his spur off of the injured foot last year. I would love to know how to cut his other one off.
