So I made this little guy in my ceramics class. I was thinking about making more and selling them at poultry shows. They'd be coupled with 2 or 3 egg shaped tea cups. Would you buy one? How much would you pay for it? He's fully functional, but more or less he is decorative, and he holds about 2 or 3 cups of tea. It's pretty hilarious watching him puke tea into a cup.

This one shows the color a bit better, he's not that red but he looks like a RIR.

I adore him and I'd pay around $50 a set but I think that his colouring needs some livening up and maybe if you're going to make egg shaped cups you should make the teapot a Hen and not a Rooster!

ADORABLE and very good work!

Thanks! His colors are totally different in person. But I'm going to make some different colored ones in the future.

I thought about a hen... but I wasn't sure how to make a handle if I did that. The rooster's sickles conceal most of the handle. Not sure what else I could use instead of eggs.

Hmmm.. Let me think a min.

You could always go handle-less with the hen, you'd grab her around the body or by the tail to pour. Or how about the handle coming from above her instead of from behind her?

The top is the handle, the @ is the spout hole....

That is very creative. You can do a whole breed line of them. Love to see it with cups. maybe a chick as a sugar bowl and a hen as a creamer. Opps getting you into trouble.

Make yourself a bunch of them and then start selling them on etsy near Christmas, they are sure to sell out! You can advertise your etsy store in your signature lines. Good luck!!
