I have 6 Buff orpington hens, 1 blue hen and 2 black hens. If I can obtain a Splash blue Orp rooster I would get blues, splash and black chicks from the blacks/blue hens What color would I get from the buff hens?

If my search doesn't turn up a Slash blue Orp rooseter, mating my hens to a Splash Blue Laced Red Wyandotte.........would result in what color/or lacing in the plumage?

My flock is for my own entertainment, companions and for eggs........

Buff hens matted to a self black rooster(even if the roo is diluted by splash Bl/Bl) will yield all black(blue in this case) chicks because most self black birds are based on Extended black on the E locus(E), and buff hens are based one wheaten(eWh) so the chicks will be E/eWh Bl/bl+ Db/db+, but be warned some buff birds do carry blue in them(as my buff hen on my avi) but you cant see that as they are self buff colored in nature, you only see it once you cross it to Exteneded black(on chicks), when your chicks grown they will be mostly Blue(or splash if the hen carry blue) but with some red coloring leaking thrue because of Db(columbian like restrictor)

You could use a blue Ameraucana if you don't care whether you mix breeds.
