I tossed him a chip. He wasn't really sure what to do with it.

Henry, my 3-year old Rooster, saw the chip, went over to it and began flagging and cooing with the "I have found a treat" sound he makes for the hens.

Then, Henry picked up a piece of the chip and dropped it in front of Ozzy like he would with a hen.

Which makes me wonder, is my little cockerel a hen? Or do Roosters feed all members of the flock?

They’re both cockerels, the one that called him over must be the dominant one. Guess he’s just a “good rooster”

She said Henry is 3 years old. That makes him a rooster. Ozzy is the cockerel whose gender is now in question.

Looking at the pictures Ozzy is a boy or cockerel.

Very confusing, I thought cockerel was another word for rooster, are you saying Ozzy is transgender?

Ozzy is a boy.Your just so happens seems to be more friendlier then a lot tend to be with young roosters, probably will all change once Ozzy gets older and starts acting how a rooster should,or acting how a bad one would.Enjoy it whirl it lasts.

I have seen this, but did the youngster take the bait?
When my big guy does this, if the youngster takes the bait, it's on. It's a dominance thing,,, my thought is he is telling the youngster he is the boss.
