Rooster tried mating with a boot.

Hi so my black selling rooster just reached the age where he is old enough to reproduce. I was walking into the coop to give my girls some treats and he comes running over to me and climbs on my boot and does the motions a rooster would do to a hen. Also my hens kinda boss him around so... could he have been practicing on me?!?

Was he using protection? Wouldn’t want to hatch any rubber chickens

This could be a sign of a bad rooster, I would keep an eye on him. But then no roo over 4 months and under 1 YO is with my flock. They get to live in a bachelor pad for a while.
