avalon23,
I have never seen anything like that but then again I have only had my birds since April of 2008. And I hope I never do. I do hope that he gets better. What are you currently doing for him? How is the rest of the flock doing so far? I'm keeping my fingers
That really doesn't look like fowlpox to me, but I could be wrong. I'm dealing with it right now, and I don't see any of the black lesions on him that I see on my chickens. I dealt with fowlpox last year in wet and dry form. Those who had dry pox had black wart looking lesions on comb, wattles, and some around the eyes. I had one little hen who had wet pox. She had cheesy looking gunk in her mouth. We had to feed and water her with a syringe, but she survived. She's the little Cochin Frizzle in my avatar. So, they can survive wet pox. Maybe someone with more knowledge will chime in.
