Rooster walking backwards

Has anyone else ever seen this or heard of it? We have a rooster who is about 5-6 mos old and recently he has started to walk backwards on occasion. He bows his head down and just well, goes backwards. Often times he runs into the fence and bounces off then just walks off like nothing happened. We don't think this is usual but maybe it is!
