I went to go lock my chickens up and my rooster wasn't in there. I turned around and he was standing 15 feet away right where I was just walking to get to the coop. He wasn't in any hurry to go to the coop so I had to pick him up and put him in there. He is over 1 year old and has always went to roost with the hens, so I thought it was kind of weird that he did that. I'm not concerned or anything, I'm just curious as to what would cause him to do that.
