Ok well I need some help please, so the rooster was always a little rough with the hens when mounting them. But then he seemed to stop his ways for quite a while.... So I thought, I just got sent images by someone who is with the chickens now, I'm not, and they reckon the rooster had done this (images Below) I know he has done the little missing feathers on there heads but now this on there backs? Can anyone reply on if this is rooster work?

It's been raining, ten hens one rooster.
Since you only have 5 adult hens and the others are too young I would imagine it could be the rooster so you could get them saddles. They usually have some feather loss on the neck as well.Check for mites in the coop at night by wiping a damp paper towel underneath the roosting bars after dark. There will be blood on the towels if you do.If they have a good dust bath area the mites won't get out of hand.Add some wood ashes to the soil in that spot.

A lot of times, this happens this time of year, as the birds are going into molt, and the feathers are old and brittle. The long nights will slow down the rooster's needs and the girls will molt and grow new feathers.

Check his toenails, some people file them. But you will find bare backs bother people more than chickens.
