This is the best, recent picture crowing on the nest box. I'll take a better one when he's done molting. His tail looks a little pathetic at the moment

Looks like the poor fella got frost bite last winter.

Lol, it looks like it between the two pictures. The back of his comb just has an odd shape. In the picture with the other chickens, he was just feeling a bit excited. When he gets overly "randy", the back part of his comb gets dark. It goes backs to normal color after a minute.
