Last year I borrowed an incubator and bought some purebred eggs. I also incubated some of our own eggs and the end result (once the boys were gone) is one little hen of our own and 3 barred rocks from the purebred eggs. I also got some girls from broody hens last year too. Everyone is now egg laying age, I am pretty sure everyone has atleast given it a try. I even got an egg about the size of a grape!
Anyways, Elton, our roo mates with everyone except the barred rock girls. He does not even seem to try. If they come to where the treats were thrown, he chases them away. He tries to hurt them if they don't go away quick enough. Why doesn't he like them?
