Hi, not sure if I'm posting in the correct place! I have a 10 week old Silkie with a bad attitude. I'm guessing it's a roo because as soon as I put my hand in to feed them or get one of the others out it starts to attack my hand. It struts around and has no fear. It's in with my 13 week old Silkie roo and he's much bigger but a sweet nature. I had hoped the bigger one would put him in his place but he takes no notice. There are also 3 pullets of same age in the flock. How do I make him a sweet natured lad? Or is it just how he is?! First two pictures of attitude boy and last picture of stormi, my nice roo!

You chick could still be a pullet. I’ve had girls with some bad attitudes. So there still a chance. Either way they just need to be shown his boss. Sometimes they grow out of it. I had two pullets that were just mean to the other chickens they several times were ‘jailed’ for a day but everybody’s together happy now. I have one that loves to sneak up behind me and do the same thing to my leg. I pecked her back. With my fingers. A little bit harder each time obviously not enough to hurt her. But the first time I did it she jumped back and looked at me like she was thinking what the…?! It took quite a few times but It’s coming less often now and as soon as she sees my fingers she usually backs off immediately. Hoping this advice works I know some are more difficult than others. But I’m thinking once they Respect you things become a lot better.
And you’re right that might mean it’s a rooster but I’ve come to find out attitude can be in either. I know I’ve been told I can be sassy. LOL but either way I think I would take action in the same manner to try to correct. Oh and welcome to backyard chickens
