Rooster with an enflamed comb........advice please

A friend has a roo with an enflamed comb. She says it is hard? Anyone know what this is and what she can do to treat? Many thanks

So sorry, that should have said an inflamed wattle (under the beak). Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Yeah, pics would really help. Ask her if there is evidence of a bite. My alpha female doesn't peck the others often but now and then she will grab them by th comb, wattles or ear lobe and often draws a little blood. Have her look for evidence of a wound or blood. Blood appears black on their comb/wattles.
