Rooster with bad foot injury. Need help!

I just took some pics of him. Will post in a few mins. I got him to eat about half of the egg I cooked for him. But he didnt eat it on his own. I had to put it in his mouth then he ate it. Same with the water.

It is the short acting penicillin. And I packed his wound tonight with poultice that I have here for the horses. And thanks for the vote of convidence!! I needed that! I sure am trying my darnedest to do the best for him. He is just breaking my heart just laying there not being able to move! Makes me want to

!!!!

Poor baby boy. I hate seeing sick critters, but it just makes me want to help them all the more.

Maybe try to get some B-vitamins into him; they should give him an energy boost. You can usually get it in a tube as a gel for things like lambs, kids, and piglets. He needs something to perk him up.

I am heading to the farm store in the morning and I will pick some up for him. Thank you! I have had plenty of sick and injured animals over the years. But this is a first for me with my chickens. So I appreciate any and all advise that I can get!

I had to deal with my first injured chicken on my second day of owning them. Haha.

Well there is still no improvement or change in my rooster. 2 doses of penicillin, multiple soakings a day, hand fed and watered, vitamin b everything. And nothing. Im at my wits end! Idk what else to do.

Havent been able to get him to drink. So I gave him some Sub Q fluids under his skin. I know he is getting dehydrated. And he has only ate a few bites of egg and a lil yogurt. Im going to continue to work with him thru the night and see if there will be any improvement by morning.
