Hi,

I have a 2 year old rooster with balance issues for about a month. In the last week or so he also seems to be leaning his neck to the side but not quite like a full wry neck. I had given the flock Corid (amprollium) for cocci treatment about two months and the girls are fine. Someone mentioned that amprollium could create a vitamin deficiency. I have given him Poultry Cell for a week now with no improvement.

I have about 45 birds and he is the only one with any issues. Any suggestions?

Do you have photos of him?
What do you feed?

If you treated with Corid at the correct amount for 5-7 days, it should not cause a vitamin deficiency.

Any signs of injury to the legs or bumblefoot on the bottom of the feet? Any lice/mites? Any infection in the ears or lesions inside the beak? Is the crop emptying?

Leaning the neck to the side, did he hit his head, get into a fight with another rooster?

I'd work on hydration, see that he's eating well. A bit of extra protein like egg or canned fish a few times a week may give him a boost.

If possible, also include of video of his actions/how he walks. Upload video to youtube and provide a link.
