Rooster seems to have no balance

I went to let my chickens free range this morning and my rooster seems to have no balance today. He went to run from me and as he was running he face planted onto the ground. He seems to have to lay down to pick stuff up I’m not sure where to start.

16 hours and not one reply I could really use the help he’s not doing good at all.

I had one with something similar. I kept him alive with tlc, but he never fully recovered, had to live alone in protective custody, and after a year of that I decided it was kinder to euthanize him.

Your bird may have something different of course. But it's the best I can do to help you now.

Have you checked him for lice or mites? I noticed one of my roosters really off balance and discovered he had mites. The blood loss from them was causing his weakness. After treatment he was back to normal.

Hopefully it's something simple and treatable!

I’ve checked twice and haven’t seen any sign of either.
