You can try an oral antibiotic, but it will not make pus dry up, pus has to be removed.

Tylan50 is a good choice to use. Dose is 0.25ml per pound of weight given orally 3 times a day for 5 days.

Would holding a warm cloth on it first help soften the tissue in order to squeezed the pus out?

I did the warm compresses a few days in a row and then tried to press the area with a Qtip each time. I used Terramycin for two weeks. Did not help. I spoke to our optometrist and she didn’t feel comfortable with us trying to lance the lump. She suggested we use ciprofloxacin eye drops first. I started him on the drops yesterday, praying that this will help.
