I would put up roosts in the run, I would add platforms, where as birds can get under and on top of the pallet, while looking more cluttered actually give it more space. IMO you are short of space in the run. However, you really do not seem to be worried about chicken behaviors. If you don't have tracks on their back, and they are not stressed, I would not deal with the hassle of trying to keep him away from his girls everyday.
