Hello, I have a Rooster, Rocky Roo who has a severe case of Scaly leg mites. I have him isolated in an inside pen and have been
treating him with vaseline and tea tree oil/almond oil. My question is that his back little foot is the worst and he won't put any weight on it due to the pain, I have given him baby aspirin daily to help with that. He is getting better but the little leg looks like a small corn cob. Will it eventually go down and look like a normal toe or will it not. Picture included. Screenshot_20250609_200119_Gallery.jpg

What does the underside of the toes look like, is it infected or have some contact dermatitis going on there?
Yes, he had a bumblefoot issue on the top side of that foot and I got the core out of it. However checking him today and finally getting a picture of the bottom of his foot there was a bigger area of bumble foot which i cleaned out and gave him amoxicillin and baby aspirin for.

I'm glad you were able to check it out better.

The raised scales may eventually slough off and fresher ones will be revealed. Even with treatment and application of oils/vaseline, etc., it can take quite a while for them to look better.
