rooster with top beak gone.. can i trim? pics

about a month ago my roo got his beak caught in the hardware cloth and damaged it.. it has since fallen off.. it is so much shorter than his lower beak he can eat but he can"t break off pieces of grass or alot of other things.. can i trim his lower like 1/4" to help him out and if i can does it bleed and how can i stop it?

throw a couple 12x12' cement pavers in their run. They are something like $1.50 a piece at home depot. He will find it in short order and file it down himself.... Atleast my hens did with in hrs of tossing 2 into their run.

his beak now looks like egg factory hens with their beaks cut. He should be fine though. Just make sure he is eating good, he may even scoop up the feed now instead of pecking at it. I had a red star hen that had her beak trimmed. It looked just like your rooster's and she was totally fine.
