Silkie rooster beak is broken

My 7mo old rooster had a long beak and i had an appointment for a few weeks from now to have it trimmed at the vet. Today he got it caught on the hardware cloth and broke the tip off. The core quick is exposed. It was bleeding for a bit. Not a heavy flow of blood but it was bleeding. He’s acting a bit off I’m sure it hurts. I’m not sure how to treat it. He isn’t sleeping with his ladies like he normally does he’s sleeping alone. What should i do?

Beak injuries are very painful for a few days. Try to get him to drink fluids and eat some mushy wet chicken feed, keep it fresh throughout the day. It should toughen up as it heals, and should grow back in.
