Rooster with what looks like a large verucca

I was wondering can anyone tell me what I should do to cure my Rooster. Last year he went limp and I brought him to my local vet ( in Italy!!) and he told me to bath his claw every day in salt water and gave me a 5 day course of antiboc. he improved alot but remained a little limp until 3 days ago when he took a turn for the worst. he doesnt like to walk so if I dont put his food right beside him he would get up to eat or drink . I have been bathing he foot every day but i was hoping someone could help me in identifing what is wrong with him. His symtons are a swollen claw with what looks like a lager verucca underneath. Any advice would be great.

My guess would be bumblefoot. I don't have any experience with it, myself, but its a subject that comes up often here. Here is just one thread:
