I don't think this is an emergency but my rooster has these white crusty things attached to the bottom of his feather shafts on his neck. At first I thought it was where he had gotten it wet & something got caked there but when I checked him tonight they are spreading & he is loosing feathers. I have never seen this before. His poops are normal, he is eating & drinking and overall acting normal. I think this has to be some kind of parasite but I don't know. I checked and do not see any lice, mites, fleas or bugs of any kind on him. Any help would be appreciated.
The places are almost football shaped, very hard, white. I did not have my glasses so I am guessing but I think they are some an egg/larva thing.
