Rooster won't breed hen

I bought 8 fertile silky eggs. Only 2 hatched, 1 black male and 1 white female. I have 3 other silky hens and the rooster will breed with them but not the hen he grew up with. Any ideas?

He might just not be interested.

How old are they? And did she stay at the bottom of the pecking order? My top rooster only breeds the top hens and typically leaves the others to the less dominant rooster.

Are you sure they aren't mating or are they too fluffy?

Are you sure he isn't breeding her when you're not watching? If her eggs are fertilized then he is breeding her.
I've also thought that my rooster doesn't breed certain hens because I've only ever seen him breed his "favorites", but all their eggs are fertilized, so he is breeding them.

How old is the hen he grew up with? Is it possible she's still young and just isn't interested in mating yet? Roosters tend to mature faster than hens their age.
