My hen died a couple weeks ago. my rooster is old. I got a new hen ( shes like 5 months old) They get along famously during the day in the yard. At night He flies up on the roost but when she tries to fly up he pecks he on the back of the neck and she squats then flies down. She runs to me for help! lol So every night I am stuck putting her to bed then hurrying to shut the door so its so black in there they calm down. Is she ever going to go to bed on her own? Is he ever going to let her? He had 2 hens, then about 4 years later 2 hens again. He has never acted this way.What is his problem? I need a chicken psychologist
