Rooster?

One further thing that should be mentioned, you could keep your PR rooster and breed it over your hens and start a nice little PR flock of your own...the chicks won't be sexlinked so you'll get 50/50 male/female, but the genetics would be there for good utility layers.

With sex-linked RSL, you can't breed two RSL and get sex linked RSL as the genetic traits do not breed forward (it has to do with the Punnet Square math working for you in the first generation, and against you in the second and further generations)...by breeding RSL's you'd get a general utility laying flock, but all chicks would come out the same color with 50/50 male/female.

But you have PR's, which have been bred to be laying machines and make for a nice backyard crop of utility laying birds.

LofMc, thanks for the last comment, I was planing on breeding them. I am just not sure how big of a flock I want now. The coop I currently built is small and restricts me. I have been progressively getting smaller with each move I make. I started with a 15x30 then 10x15 now I am down to 4x8 with a 28x56 pen.
