rooster

how older does a rooster need to be before his spurs grow out.iam thinking he's 5 to 16 mos old.

What do you mean by "grow out" and exactly how long do you want them?

Spurs will continue to "grow" during their lifetime, just like fingernails. At 5 months you may only see a small bump or a "nub". At 16months they will be a bit more noticeable. If they grow to long, you can trim them.
