Thought this little dude was a girl for awhile but just today I noticed red wattles and he’s a lot bigger then the other two and already at the top of the pecking order out of those three, is it a male?
Breed im pretty sure is a barred mix of some sort but somehow turned out fully silver… I have different threads on him.
Thoughts?

I think it is too early to sex that one. The red wattles are a possible warning sign but the comb looks fine for a pullet.

It depends. Usually by 6 weeks you can tell. Watch the comb and wattles. If they get big and red in the near future then you probably have a cockerel.

Where’d you get him? If you hatched him, what sort of birds do you have as possible parents?
