All of my six week old pullets have very similar ridges to yours- while I'm new to this chickens, I thought I'd chime in and let you know that if it turns out to be a roo based on that, I've got six of them myself

I'd think that's a cockerel with that comb at 8 weeks. Delaware or columbian rock?
