Rooster

Hi all, I posted before that I am getting a rooster and I am new to poultry... Was wondering what I should feed him? Locally we have a Purina dealer and a Co-op dealer, but I deal with Purina already for my horses.

I know, I should be getting him some HENS, but at this time I can't seem to find any to buy locally. I will have some for him in a few weeks, but until then it's just him.

So what is my best option for feeding him?

Just get a bag of chicken feed at the local feed store. This, plus table scraps, should keep him happy until the weathers warm enough for him to scratch around outside all day!

If you like the purina brand get him that. More than likely he will eat anything you give him

Does Purina have a specific feed for roosters? Everything I'm finding seems to be for laying hens.
