Nope, that's a pullet. Roosters will have slender, stringy feathers on their necks (hackles) and on their backs (saddles). And with Barred Rocks like your girl, their coloring is much lighter than the females.

How do you figure? Rocks are brown egg layers. Never seen a cream or speckled egg from any of mine, though they're on the lighter side of brown.

it's an off shade of brown (i dont really consider the egg color brown but creamish to me its so light of a color) and ours sometimes have speckles not all the time but sometimes. they are hatchery and were supposed to be wayndotts but were 2 dom roos 1 dom hen and 2 br hens
