I'm guessing this italian is a rooster is that correct?

so hard to tell with the yellow light in the background, might you be able to get a shot with a black background, or something darker so the bird sticks out.

yea, looks like a male, here is my italian female

i know you can't see her direct front, but you can tell from the side there is no rust color on her breast
