I'm quite new to this so I'm just like here there and everywhere but we bought a mixed bundle and then man said Wyandotte so that's disappointing /: but my mum still loves it. Thanks for answeringyour own thread would get you more answers, but from I can see of its legs and the single comb, I'd say not a wyandotte. Wyandottes have yellow legs and should have a rose comb.

We thought cockerel but hoping not otherwise we can't keep it due to the noise /: thank you for the replyCould be a hatchery-quality Columbian Wyandotte, but that isn't that likely as the comb type is wrong (Wyandottes should have rose combs; this bird has a single comb) and the legs are white (Wyandottes have yellow legs). I think that it is more likely that it is a Light Sussex, as the characteristics fit, IMO.
As for gender, do you know how old it is? If younger than 12-14 weeks, I think cockerel.
