What breed of rooster is the calmest I know that every rooster has different ways about them but over all which breed are you happy with to protect your hens

I personally like my Sussex and Wyandottes as standard flock roosters, they tend to be good with people, get along with each other, and are good with the hens and chicks. I have found them to be fairly quiet, and they are pretty imo. But they are big and slow, and while they are fairly brave, they are not that agile. If you need to have a rooster that will really "protect" and attack predators as best they can, you will probably want some sort of standard gamier breed.
