Roosters are "getting" my hens, how long till babies?

I recommend even with a brand new bator - wash with hot soapy water, rinse well, rinse with a diluted bleach and water to disinfect, leave in direct sun 6 - 8 hours. Bacteria you cannot see can be growing in there. You must disinfect the bator completely before setting eggs.

How are the eggs being handled? What are the weather conditions, etc. when eggs set/received?

weather here fluctuates daily/hourly even. But, the bators are in the back room on a shelf, 3 sides surrounded by walls. Drafts are so minimal. I'll be sure and wash again before next batch hatches. The ones I recieved in the mail, sat on the counter over night. My other ones were silkies and some sort of bantam eggs that i brought in the house, bought a bater and dove in. That had a few that stopped at the same time, dime size black embryos. The rest all hatched healthy. I just put them out in the barn and after a week, they seem pretty acclimated to the rest of the birds. They are out exploring the barn and seem to know their boundries and place in the pack. Anyways, back to the egg issue. I have the next batch due the 22nd and 23rd. Those seem to be growing, I see a big black blob with fuzzy edges and a nice big air sac. Once those are hatched, that bator will get a thorough cleaning/bleaching and if the sun is out, it'll be in it. I will keep you up to speed as to how this turns out this time. A guy in the next town over from me has been raising Welsummers for many m any years. Those exclusively. He's worked on the lines and has agreed to set me up with a couple dozen eggs at the end of this month. I'll make SURE the equipment is in top shape before i set those.
The eggs i have gotten shipped seem to be going great as i stated previously, they were flown from VA and NY. Those set overnight.
