I got my chickens last fall as 7 month old. A month or so ago I noticed a "thickening" of my roosters combs and they just look deformed. I noticed one of my hens with it too any ideas? The temp gets down to -10 at night about a week or two a winter but normal temps for winter are 18 at night and up to 40's during the day could it be frost bite? mites?? kind of a chicken newbie.
