Roosters different feed???

My RIR turned out to be a Rooster and ia six weeks old. Of course it isn't 100% sure yet. I currently feed starter. What do I feed him once the hens get layer feed and how to keep the food seperated, if he needs other food, they will be kept together
 
I would recommend the mixed flock food (I forget the actual name). The calcium in the layer pellets can have a really bad effect on him. You can put the whole flock on the flock raiser (I think that's what it's called) and just offer some crushed oyster shell on the side. The hens will eat what they need from the oyster shell. :)

He can just eat the layer pellets. 
he *can* eat lawyer pellets, but it is not good for roosters to eat laying pellets. The calcium levels are too high and can cause serious problems.

All flock or flock raiser is good for all birds, just be sure to offer crushed oyster shell in a bowl so your girls can take what they need.
