Roosters, Hens, and Molting

My chickens will molt for the first time this fall. (I have 9 hens and 1 rooster.) Will the rooster continue to try to mate the hens during molt? I have read that they will be very sensitive to touch as their new feathers grow in, and I do not want Solomon, the rooster, to hurt them.

I'm not sure if he continues to mount during the molt. If you see him doing that then get a saddle for your hens to protect their backs.

I have saddles, but even with the saddles, if he mounts them, he can still hurt them from the pressure.
