Chirping
My husband and I rescued a flock of birds that were abandoned. I spent two weeks going over there twice daily to feed and water them before I was given permission by DNR and the county police to remove them. During that time, something was killing them nightly. The first day I arrived it looked like a slaughter house. Explosions of feathers and bodies everywhere. Daily I would find more. They were getting picked off at night because the person that abandoned them took the coop door off and they were exposed to whatever wanted a midnight snack. By the time I was allowed to remove them, we ended up only saving 28 birds. I have found homes for alot of them already, but no one is willing to take a roo. The three I have are beautiful and sweet roo's. One is missing most of his tail, looks like something tried to grab him by the tail and he got away. It's starting to grow back and he's a beautiful boy, he is a large Maran. I also have a beautiful all black roo, I believe he is a Ayam Cemani. The reason I say I believe, is because I haven't wanted to traumatize him by chasing him just to look in his mouth to see if it's all black. He is a young bird, not crowing yet. The third one is well, not sure lol.. He looks to be the offspring of the Maran because he has a few feathers that are blueish, but he is a beautiful cream color. I also have a 4th one that you can choose from if you would rather have than the above three, he's a easter egger. Later today I will go out and take pictures of them and post. If anyone is interested in rehoming these rescues please let me know. I am in Brunswick Georgia, so I am close to Jacksonville and Savannah area and all in between. Thank you in advance!!
