Hi I’m puzzled as to wheather my Sussex are roosters or hens? I’ve had them from day olds and all of them in the photos are meant to be Light Sussex. After some lovely comments from a previous thread, I’ve established the red crested fellows are in fact Leghorn roosters and the pure whites are Leghorn hens.
My question is, are the birds with Sussex colouring Male or Female as the Leghorns are clearly roosters? I’m not sure if Sussex mature slower or if they will eventually grow long tail feathers and be what I originally thought, Sussex roosters? These guys are 10weeks old today!
