I have two hens that I'm pretty sure are roosters in disguise, lol. We have our 'top' rooster, Jeremy. He's a big and beautiful buff orpington (and a recent father of 15). I am curious about one of our copper marans, Nugget(sold non sexed), and a white jersey giant (sexed, but the girl at the register seemed a little confused by what I was asking). I've always been suspicious of them since they were chicks b/c it took them weeks to get any tail feathers, just like Jeremy. I've caught Nugget cawing, I guess you'd call it and likes to keep the hens in line behind Jeremy. Curiously I caught Nugget sitting on some eggs for several minutes today, so now I'm all tuned around. Well, I attached a couple pictures. Nugget is black with feathers on the feet in front next to Jeremy. Amble is white ( the one w/o the tall tail feathers). What do guys think?
