Roosters per chickens,,, help

Is one rooster enough for 20 hens ?? (I want to have fertilized eggs for incubation)

No they say 1 rooster for 10 hens but i go 1 roo for 9 hens

That sounds like a lot of work for one roo. I looked around in the past and got differant ratios, but the averge I found is 10:1. I have 12 ladies to one roo and they are probably fertile about 95% of the time, if not more. He had 13 at one time and the same results. Good luck.

20 is alot for one rooster a standar size can handle around 8 to 10.
