My rooster has very red, raw looking skin on his right side under his wing, but not real close to his bottom. The area is featherless. He's 1.6 years old - I've had him since late March. He is otherwise happy and healthy- eating, drinking, crowing. It is difficult to see the affected area because his wing covers it completely. I don't think he's molting, but that could be what's happening. I'll have help tomorrow so that I can pick him up and more closely look at the area. He preens and picks often at his feathers but I haven't noticed a lot of his feathers on the ground. Any ideas? Thanks.
