Roosters won't leave the Coop!

I have 4 roosters aged 6-8 mos old who only come out of the coop for a short time late in the afternoon? They don't eat or drink during the day, they hangout on the roosts.... I can't imagine it's good for them, but how do I get them to come out and roam around? I'm new to this so I'd love to hear what you all think!

What else is in your flock. They are probably frightened, which happens to most chickens around that age as things like serious pecking order stuff and mating comes into play. Most eventually get braver and start venturing out.

Oh Ok well that seems logical.....lol They're all from the same flock and have grown up together, it's the smaller Roo that always comes out and stays with the gals! I will just let them be, hopefully they'll venture out more Thanks for your input
